PANEL 1
JAY AND SIRIUS ARE BOTH SITTING ON THE BENCH JUST OUTSIDE THE MEDICAL WARD. JAY IS WIPING SIRIUS' TEARS AND SNOT AWAY WITH HIS LAB COAT. HIS GLASSES ARE HOOKED ON THE NECK OF HIS SHIRT.
Jay: What... what's really changed?

PANEL 2
JAY HAS STARTED TO CLEAN HIMSELF UP NOW, WIPING ONE OF HIS EYES WITH HIS HAND. HIS HAIR IS COVERING MOST OF HIS FACE, BUT HE STILL HAS ONE EYE ON SIRIUS.
Jay: Y-you'll still have your friends, and you're still you--

PANEL 3
SIRIUS IS WATCHING JAY CAREFULLY, LISTENING, HIS FACE VISIBLY TEAR STAINED.
Jay:--it's just... your body, that's changing.

PANEL 4
JAY IS LOOKING DOWN AT HIS OWN BODY AS HE SPEAKS, GLARING AT IT AS IF RESENTFUL, FRUSTRATED, OR DISGUSTED.
Jay: And bodies... are just... bodies. What they look like doesn't actually mean anything--

PANEL 5
JAY IS LOOKING BACK UP AT SIRIUS AGAIN, A LOOK OF CONCERNED URGENCY ON HIS FACE ONCE MORE. HE'S POINTING AT HIS OWN HEAD.
Jay: It--It's what your brain says about you that's important. Not your looks. And yours says you're a boy, right?

PANEL 6
JAY IS REMOVING THE HAIR TIE FROM HIS WRECKED PONY TAIL. SIRIUS IS STILL WATCHING HIM.
Jay: So... you're still a boy. No one can change that but you.

PANEL 7
JAY IS OFF PANEL, BUT STILL SPEAKING. SIRIUS HAS HIS HEAD TILTED, HIS BROWS FURROWED SLIGHTLY.
Jay: You're just different, and that's fine.
Sirius: ... No, it's not.

PANEL 8
SAME SHOT. SIRIUS HAS TILTED HIS HEAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION, AND HIS BROWS ARE FURROWED A BIT MORE.
Sirius: If it was, you wouldn't force Rigel to get surgery, or hate Orion.

PANEL 9
CAUGHT OFF-GUARD BY SIRIUS' STATEMENT, JAY IS STARING AT HIM WITH A "DEER CAUGHT IN THE HEADLIGHTS" SORT OF LOOK ON HIS FACE AS HE FREEZES MIDWAY THROUGH TRYING TO DE-TANGLE HIS HAIR FROM THE HAIR TIE. NO DIALOGUE.
