IRIS, SIRIUS, AND RIGEL ARE OFF-PANEL. JAY IS PRESUMABLY TEXTING LISA BACK, AND LOOKS VAGUELY IRRITATED. WE CANNOT SEE WHAT HE IS SAYING. A CLOSED DOOR CAN BE SEEN BEHIND HIM. NO DIALOGUE.

SAME SHOT. JAY IS NO LONGER TEXTING. HE IS PINCHING THE BRIDGE OF HIS NOSE IN FRUSTRATION, AND PUSHING HIS GLASSES UP SLIGHTLY. HIS EYES ARE CLOSED. THE DOOR BEHIND HIM IS OPENING.
Jay: God... I'm sorry I--

SAME SHOT. A WOMAN HAS ENTERED THE SCENE FROM THE DOOR BEHIND JAY. SHE IS SMILING AND WAVING WITH HER RIGHT HAND, AND CARRYING A KIT OF SOME SORT IN HER LEFT. JAY LOOKS ANXIOUS AGAIN. IRIS IS STILL OUT OF VIEW, BUT IS CUTTING OFF JAY'S APOLOGY FROM THE PREVIOUS PANEL.

SIRIUS AND RIGEL ARE OFF-PANEL. CHERYL IS IN THE FOREGROUND. SHE IS SMILING. JAY IS IN THE MIDGROUND. HIS BACK IS TO CHERYL, BUT HE IS JUST BARELY PEERING OVER HIS SHOULDER TO LOOK AT HER. HE STILL LOOKS ANXIOUS. IRIS IS IN THE BACKGROUND. SHE LOOKS HAPPY AND RELIEVED TO SEE THAT CHERYL HAS FINALLY ARRIVED. SHE IS POINTING WITH THE THUMB ON HER LEFT HAND OVER HER SHOULDER, PRESUMABLY TO THE LAB.

IRIS, SIRIUS, AND RIGEL ARE OFF PANEL. CHERYL AND JAY ARE SHAKING HANDS. JAY IS NOTICEABLY SHORTER THAN SHE IS. HE IS FORCING A SMILE AND TRYING HIS BEST TO REMAIN PROFESSIONAL, ALTHOUGH PANIC IS STILL SHOWING ON HIS FACE. CHERYL IS SMILING AT HIM ALMOST WRYLY.

Cheryl: Collins, right? I'm sticking my neck out coming down here like this, y'know.

SAME SHOT. JAY AND CHERYL HAVE STOPPED SHAKING HANDS. JAY IS CRINGING AWAY, TAKING WHAT SHE SAID SERIOUSLY, AND NO LONGER PRETENDING TO BE PROFESSIONAL. CHERYL LOOKS SURPRISED, AND CONCERNED, ABOUT HIS REACTION.
Jay: Sorry. I didn't know she'd... I-It just seemed urgent.

CHERYL, JAY, AND IRIS ARE OFF-PANEL. SIRIUS IS IN THE BACKGROUND, HIS ATTENTION ON HIS BANDAGE. HE IS PICKING AT IT WITH HIS LEFT HAND. RIGEL IS IN THE FOREGROUND. HE IS GLARING IN CHERYL'S DIRECTION. HIS ARMS ARE FOLDED ACROSS HIS CHEST AND HE IS HUNCHING OVER A BIT, EMBARRASSED. HE WANTS HER TO LEAVE. SIRIUS AND RIGEL HAVE NO DIALOGUE.
